A Place Not Home…

the wind blows away

the autumn leaves

that crunch beneath my feet

and the rains

reduce them to refuse

lying in the detritus

at the end of the street

in the dark of the night

when the candles

burn to wax

on the window panes

I see your reflection

replace mine

a part of you

is fading

a part clings on

I gladly part

with what’s here to stay

and find life

in what’s long left

desires don’t tempt me

not anymore

I travel to a place

a place not home

  2. A place
    That’s not home
May be beautiful than our home
    But does it share ?
    Our times good and bad
    Does it hold on ?
    Our childhood memories
A place that’s not our home
    May beautiful than our home
    Still we love our home
